Peach Park in Clanton is a proud associate member of the state's new agricultural branding program, Sweet Grown Alabama. Operated by Gene and Frances Gray for 36 years, Peach Park is a must-stop road trip destination for the entire family.
“Produce is where we started and the heart of Peach Park,” says co-owner Robin Gray. “If it weren’t for local farmers, there would be no Peach Park.”
Sweet Grown Alabama exists to connect Alabama farmers and families. The non-profit foundation helps farmers promote their products through a convenient online searchable database. Consumers can locate Sweet Grown Alabama products in their area by searching the database via zip code or by product.
“We are so thankful for companies like Peach Park with roots in agriculture who continue to support local farmers,” said Ellie Watson, Sweet Grown Alabama Director. “Peach Park is the embodiment of supporting local, and we are blessed to have them in the Sweet Grown Alabama family.”
Peach Park began in 1984 as a small fruit stand. Over time, the stand started selling peach ice cream and developed into a larger business. Peach Park now has many attractions including restaurants, a gift shop, a playground, an RV camp and more.
“There is a sense of pride when one of our local farmer’s names has been added to Sweet Grown Alabama,” says Robin. “We already know that Alabama produce is the best and we appreciate Sweet Grown Alabama promoting that message.”
Peach Park is located at 2300 7th St S. and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Gray family continues to expand the market and show their love for local. To learn more about Peach Park, visit PeachParkClanton.com.
