As events are canceled and field trips are rare, we know you are looking for safe ways to get out of the house and enjoy a fall Alabama day with your family. Visiting an Alabama agritourism farm allows you to enjoy open-air and socially distanced activities. Kids of all ages will enjoy picking pumpkins, apples and sunflowers along with animal encounters, playgrounds, hayrides and corn mazes. NORTH ALABAMA

1. Bennett Farms
Location: 1073 County Road 13, Heflin, AL 36264

Bennett Farms in Heflin is a perfect spot to enjoy fall fun with your family. Pick a pumpkin (or two) and enjoy activities like the hayride, duck race, farm animals, corn cribs, pipe slides, wagon train, hay maze and more! You can even enjoy live music on the farm every Saturday! 2. Cornutt Farms
Location: 616 Whitsville Drive, Boaz, AL 35957

Make plans to visit Cornutt Farms LLC in Boaz this fall! In addition to picking sunflowers or pumpkins, you can also enjoy the farm's hayride, petting zoo, playground and more fall fun activities! Cornutt Farms is open every Saturday in October from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Social distancing and hand sanitation stations will be utilized at the farm to help everyone enjoy a safe outdoor adventure! 3. Hidden Rivers Farm
Location: 298 Goose Pond Road, Hartselle, AL 35640

Make plans to visit Hidden Rivers Farm in Hartselle- a brand new fall farm experience for the entire family! Head over to Hidden Rivers Farm for a day of corn mazes, animal encounters, pumpkins, games and more. They even have a tailgate tent to enjoy the day's football games while the kiddos explore the farm! 4. McGee Farm
Location: 8211 County Road 7, Florence, AL 35633

Pumpkins, mums and SAFE family fun are waiting at McGee Farm in Florence! Play on the jumping pillow, pick pumpkins direct from the patch and enjoy other activities around the farm. The farm opens October 3 and will be open through October 31. 5. Scott’s Orchard
Location: 2163 Scott Road, Hazel Green, AL 35750

6. Backyard Orchards
Location: 6585 Highway 431 North, Eufaula, AL 36027

Enjoy a fall day at Backyard Orchards in Eufaula! In addition to picking the perfect pumpkin, enjoy the obstacle course, corn bin, cotton seed wagon and much more! 7. Griffin Farms Pumpkin Patch
Location: 826 Griffin Road, West Blocton, AL 35184

Just a 30 minute drive from Tuscaloosa and less than an hour from Birmingham, Griffin Farms Pumpkin Patch in West Blocton is waiting for you to visit for a day of fall farm fun! Pick a perfect pumpkin, play with farm animals, enjoy the thrill of the zipline, get lost in the corn maze and much more. 8. Penton Farms

Penton Farms is waiting for your next fall adventure! Kids of all ages will enjoy over 15 activities including human hamster wheels, super slides, the live animal barn, wagon rides, corn mazes, the cow train, a hay mountain, an eight-ton corn pit and more! 9. Southern Pumpkin Company

Located just outside of Prattville, Southern Pumpkin Company is central Alabama’s newest u-pick pumpkin patch. Take a hayride around the farm and test your wits in the ten-acre corn maze. Pick a pumpkin or three, and then relax in the shade of the old orchard. 10. Aplin Farms

Located between Slocomb and Dothan, Aplin Farms is a fun fall trip the entire family will love!
