Wagyu Steak

Wagyu Steak

Wagyu of Alabama, Selma, Alabama

Ingredients: 

  • Sweet Grown Alabama wagyu ribeye or choice of cut
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • Coarse salt to taste

Directions: 

  1. Sprinkle a light layer of coarse salt in a cast iron skillet.
  2. Place 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet.
  3. Turn the heat to medium/medium high until the butter caramelizes.
  4. Place the wagyu steak in the pan.
  5. Cook 2 minutes each side.
  6. While the steak is searing, preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  7. Put the pan and steak in the oven.
  8. Cook for 4 minutes or until preferred color.
  9. While steak is in the over, warm a plate with butter in the microwave.
  10. Take the steak out and set it on the warm buttered plate.
  11. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
  12. Enjoy!
