Our little farm grew its first sunflower crop in the summer of 2016. We initially sold our seed to be crushed to make cooking oil and later to be sold as bulk bird seed. Since the bloom of our flowers seemed to draw a crowd, we began letting our community friends and family come into the field for pictures. The rest is history. A couple of years later, Kim and I made the decision to allow guests to purchase and cut flowers-either a bucket full or just a single stem. 2024 will be our 9th season, and we welcome guests from near and far. The vast majority of our sunflowers are still combined and bagged for sale not long after all of our guests have gone. Please follow us on Facebook for current bloom times and hours of operation. We also sell fresh cut beef. If interested in purchasing beef, just private message us on our Facebook page, The Sunflower Field.
