Circle J Dairy is a family owned and operated small-scale (farm fresh, not organic) dairy located in Gordo, AL. We milk Holstein, Brown Swiss and Jersey cows. We pasteurize, bottle and sell whole milk from our farm store (connected to the dairy barn), and also sell to local grocery stores, such as Piggly Wiggly, Ashmore's, and Shop 'n Save, (and hopefully more) as well as farmers markets. We hope to sell our product in other counties as well, not just Pickens. In the future, we will incorporate other products: ice cream, buttermilk, butter, and chocolate milk.

Our store is open every single day, except for Sunday, year round. We have our own merchandise such as Circle J Dairy t-shirts, hats and other fun things for people to purchase! There will be viewing windows in the milking parlor and processing room for people to see how we milk our cows, and process the milk. I'm a huge fan of agri-tourism and what that can teach children especially, so 4-H groups, school groups, even adults would be able to schedule a time to visit our farm and watch.

In 2019, I (Jessica) graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Agricultural Communications, but always knew I wanted to come back to the family farm. My parents (Ralph and Robin Junkin) and I decided that if I wanted to start my own business within the business I could. We already farm beef cattle and a large commercial poultry operation. So once I graduated, we got to work on the business! It has been a long time coming, but we are finally almost there. This would not have been possible without the help of my awesome parents and a very supportive land bank. We are looking forward to beginning this journey, and would love nothing more than to be associated with Sweet Grown Alabama and represent them to the best of our ability!
